Project Engineer

Various projects at either Saddleback or Irvine Vally College campuses. The types of projects includes: student housing, classroom, labs, athletic field and maintenance or upgrades to the existing facilities.

Project Delivery: Design Build and Design Bid Build.

Daily Responsibilities :

• Assist on-site Project Manager
• Walk job site daily and issue daily reports
• Take work progress photos
• Log and track RFIs, PCOs, submittals, correspondence and other project documents
• Reviews all RFIs and coordinates their response to the contractor in a timely manner
• Review submittal comments and RFIs for appropriateness
• Maintain document control system as per APSI Standards
• Assist in developing independent estimates for proposed changes and/or change orders
• Assemble PCO/CO package for owner approval, with necessary back up
• Monitor work progress as related to the schedule
• Assist with the monthly updates to the master schedule
• Prepares and publishes monthly reports
• Coordinates punch lists, final inspections, and reviews O&M's, guarantees and warranties and contractor training of owner personnel
• Verify that the contractor is maintaining project as-built drawings
• Attend progress meetings and take/publish minutes
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or construction management
• Minimum 5 years of experience Construction Management job site experience
• General computer usage, construction management software, develop spreadsheets using Excel
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications :

• CMIT / CCM
• EIT / PE
• ASSOC DBIA / DBIA
• Knowledge of PMIS such as Procore or similar.
