This job was posted by : For more information, please see: of PositionThe CNC Operator is responsible for the timely and accurate production of metallic machined parts per the specifications and requirements of the shop traveler. The CNC Operator is also responsible for error-free processing of each order, and for completing the necessary paperwork and computer data entries associated with the CNC Production Process.Responsibilities and DutiesAs a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the CNC Operator. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.Operate, maintain, clean, setup, load, and unload the CNC RouterEffectively and efficiently carry out production process:Receive order from Production PlannerAllocate, pull, and load materialSet up machine and run jobInspect productsClean, label, and stage finished partsOffload scrap or stock and return any materials as neededProcess job though the system and maintain an organized, clean work areaVerify quality to ensure the product meets the customers specificationsRegularly clean and maintain equipment and machineryProgram and troubleshoot CNC Router functionsUnderstand Sunshine Metals objectives and missionPractice a willingness to learn production and distribution methodologyAdhere to all Sunshine Metals safety rules, regulations, quality standards and proceduresKeep immediate work area clean and organized throughout the dayCross-train other team members as assignedRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or EquivalentDrivers licenseTwo or more years of machine operating experienceIntermediate or Higher CNC operation experienceGood reading and math skillsGood organizational, problem solving, and time management skillsGood written and oral communication skillsComputer skillsAbility to measure using different toolsAbility to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept directionStrong work ethic; self-motivatedOperate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers
