Job Title: Senior Developer (.NET / C#)
Reports to: Director of Technology
Job Description
The Senior Developer position entails responsibility for developing and supporting a portfolio of applications based on our unified proprietary platform. From data-intensive internal applications that support our operations team in processing millions of rows of data per month or consumer-friendly applications that help our client’s customers stay more engaged in animal and human healthcare markets or the comprehensive platform through which we empower our customers to view and gather insights from their own data, you’ll play an integral role and become a subject matter expert across the full breadth of technologies that Element delivers to and for our clients.
Job Responsibilities
The Senior Developer will:
- Work with team to define product requirements and create high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms
- Code software applications to adhere to both internal and client requirements
- Troubleshoot, debug, and perform data and system analysis as required
- Research, propose, and develop new features for both new and existing applications
- Participate in code review and standards development
- Become a subject matter expert on the core applications that make up the complete Element platform.
- Participate in the continued expansion and automation of processes to expedite our delivery of services to our customers, both internal and external.
- Mentor junior team members across the breadth of responsibilities and technologies employed by the team
Candidates with a variety of experience will be considered, provided you are interested and eager to learn new skills and evolve on the job.
Eligible Candidates Will
- Have at least 5+ years of development experience using the Microsoft.NET platform and the C# language
- Experience developing and maintaining ASP.NET Web Applications
- Experience integrating with RESTful webservices
- Experience designing interactive user interfaces using JQuery
- Experience with TSQL for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or later
- Applied examples of solving tough problems in creative ways
- Exposure to the Wordpress platform
- A highly-focused attention to detail
- A desire to learn something new every day
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Be highly motivated and able to work effectively with moderate supervision
- Enjoy critical problem solving
- Have a good sense of humor and enjoy working with others
