About the Role:
Job Requirements:
- Develop custom web applications for enterprise and retail clients
- Test everything before deploying
- Respond to rare off-hour emergencies (approx. once a month)
- Your code will be reviewed to ensure effectiveness, scalability, and professionalism
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
Personal Skills:
- Self-motivated and passionate about growing your web development skills
- Strong attention to detail, including writing clean code and following coding standards
- Self-awareness to know your strengths and weaknesses
- Bring your experience to the table to provide and receive valuable feedback
- Self-accountable and able to learn from mistakes
Professional Experience:
- 5+ years professional experience as a full stack developer (or similar)
- Experience with server-side security methodologies
- Experience collaborating with a team to bring a web project from idea to completion
- Comfortable using and contributing to custom libraries and frameworks
- Strong business acumen
Technical Experience:
- Experience managing enterprise-level AWS infrastructure
- Strong experience with OOP (object-oriented programming)
- Experience with high-traffic and high-volume systems, databases, and web applications
- Comfortable with Git (or similar)
Fluent in:
- PHP
- AWS
- Relational database design
- MySQL
- API (RESTful preferred)
- HTML
- JavaScript
- React, Anuglar or Vue
Bonus skills:
- AJAX
- JSON
- Linux CLI
- MVC framework methodologies
- jQuery
- Agile
