We are searching for a Deep Learning Computational Engineer to join us. Although we prefer that candidates can work locally with us, you are welcome to apply no matter where you are located. This position can be either on a contract basis or full-time employment depending on qualifications. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for the following:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Design and implement deep learning models for image classification and pattern recognition in experimental data.
  • Preprocess image data, including noise reduction, normalization, and feature extraction.
  • Train, validate, and refine models to ensure high accuracy in classifying various patterns and objects within images.
  • Apply data augmentation techniques to improve the model’s generalization and robustness to new data.
  • Work closely with the experimental research team to understand the data requirements and interpret the results from the model’s output.
  • Continuously improve model performance through testing, optimization, and the integration of new datasets.
  • Document the development process and present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in deep learning, neural networks, and image processing techniques.
  • Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Python or MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with working on complex image datasets and knowledge of computer vision techniques.
  • Experience in feature extraction and data preprocessing for image classification tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to a broad audience.
