Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer 1 to join our Energy & Utilities client's engineering team. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in the energy and utilities sector. The Engineer 1 will assist in the planning, design, and implementation of various engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and design projects for the Department of Transportation, including pressure improvements, renewals, relocations, and new business initiatives.
2. Create meter and regulator set designs, ensuring appropriate sizing and over-pressure protection.
3. Collect and evaluate records for use in uprating procedures.
4. Develop design options and provide guidance to improve the distribution system.
5. Offer support for field operations and construction activities as needed.
6. Execute work order design, including drafting, investigating land rights, and applying company specifications to create compliant designs per federal codes and standards.
7. Manage design project timelines, tracking permitting, approval statuses, and construction progress.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical).
• 0-2 years of experience in civil or utilities design preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
