- Lead the design and engineering of plumbing systems for healthcare, higher education, and commercial projects.
- Develop detailed plumbing plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems with overall project designs.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions and ensure design specifications and code compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Review and approve plumbing system designs, calculations, and documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely project milestones and deliverables delivery.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to improve design processes and outcomes continuously.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project requirements, progress, and solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in plumbing system design and engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, and other relevant design software.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification is a plus.
