The Manager UX Strategy will have a passion to lead our organization in understanding what our members (users) need from a healthcare navigation company. Healthcare is complicated and often a costly experience and we’re here to help members navigate through their decisions every step of the way. Some call it advocacy, others a concierge. At Quantum, we support, guide, care, and WarriorTM. As part of the product development function, the Manager UX Strategy will lead the UX team and work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners and Developers to bring the vision of a solution to life. The Manager UX Strategy will facilitate the alignment of UX design with business objectives, user needs, and technical requirements.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the UX team to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Using a mix of quantitative and qualitative data, implement strategies that are intended to deliver/achieve business goals.
  • Lead project teams through facilitated brainstorming and ideation sessions outlining experience requirements.
  • Through user-centric methodologies including journey mapping, concepts, personas, card sorting, information architecting, etc., represent the points where business strategy and user needs intersect.
  • Lead user research and brainstorming to interpret and deliver actionable insights relevant to business problems/objectives that need solving.
  • Drive design sprints to ensure objectives are clear.
  • Conduct audits and assessments of current state ecosystems, identifying strengths, weaknesses, gaps, inconsistencies and opportunities, and provide suggestions on user-based behaviors and required design changes.
  • Inform and influence channel strategy across applications.
  • Coordinate with cross-departmental teams to drive prioritized work forward within defined timelines.
  • Establish governance workflows and consistent documentation guidelines.
  • Create best practices protocols and train as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of experience leading a UX team with 10+ years’ experience delivering successful UX strategies to business partners.
  • Understands the design process, is proficient in leveraging UX design tools.
  • Practices active listening for effective communication with all stakeholders, and can facilitate design sessions of all sizes.
  • Succinctly presents ideas, demonstrates designs, and collects, as well as gives, feedback.
  • Has a good sense of incorporating ideas to use cases and solutions; is a good storyteller.
  • Can gather and analyze data and insights presenting ideas to leadership and business partners.
  • Is experienced in creating various documents, including presentation decks, project briefs, roadmaps, and business requirements.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to bring structured thinking to a variety of tools and templates.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for and understanding of user experience strategy, including best practices and emerging trends.
  • Strong understanding of design principles and how to apply them in a healthcare context.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload.
  • Solid understanding of interaction design, user experience principles, information architecture and the digital content ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Sketch, Figma, and Mural.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.

  • Strong administrative/technical skills; comfort working on a PC using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IM/video conferencing (Teams & Zoom), and telephones efficiently.
