Position Summary:  


Bridger Properties is searching for a Building Engineer that will be assigned to a prominent portfolio in Atlanta, GA. They must be able to act and react to situations that arise on a daily basis, representing the interests of owners and communicate with tenants and team members in a professional manner. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  


  • Perform scheduled maintenance and building repairs, including testing and preparing/maintain preventative maintenance.
  • Inspect and test equipment.
  • Execute preventive maintenance program to keep systems and equipment in good repair and prolong their useful life.
  • Maintain outstanding property appearance; inclusive of periodic painting, pressure washing and other general maintenance needs.
  • Take the lead to troubleshoot and repair of building and installed systems to include, but not limited to: plumbing systems, roofs, drains, and HVAC.
  • May be required to coordinate with technicians, and outside service contractors on assigned projects.
  • Respond to unscheduled maintenance calls for plumbing, HVAC, electrical and lighting, and other minor repairs.
  • Respond quickly to emergency calls after hours or on an as needed basis.
  • Perform and record inspections of the property via the work order management system.
  • Fulfill other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.


Education and Experience:  


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year’s experience in the commercial building maintenance industry, or a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.


Materials and Equipment Used:


  • Ladders, lifts, hand tools, multi-meter amp probe, anemometer (airflow meter and hood), pressure gauges, drain auger, safety goggles, ear protection, and fire extinguisher. Climb ladders and stairs.


Knowledge/Critical Skills:  


Knowledge of building and equipment maintenance and repair methods, including AC circuits and safety procedures, the refrigeration cycle, plumbing systems, and life safety systems.


  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of commercial property maintenance.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. 
  • Strong desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects, changing priorities and a continually heavy workload.
