Job SummaryThe Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer designs, builds, tests, and deploys effective test automation solutions for a myriad of Web and Windows applications. They will manually test applications and automate the testing effort with a minimum set of codes and scripts to meet the short- and long-term goals of the company’s systems development by applying appropriate automation technologies.This position will report to the Manager of IT Quality Assurance in the Information Technology department.This position is required to report to the SHI Somerset NJ office location as determined by SHI management.About UsSince 1989, SHI International Corp. has helped organizations change the world through technology. If you join our team, you’ll enjoy:Our commitment to diversity, as the largest minority- and woman-owned enterprise in the U.S.Continuous professional growth and leadership opportunities.Health, wellness, and financial benefits to offer peace of mind to you and your family.World-class facilities and the technology you need to thrive – in our offices or yours.ResponsibilitiesInclude but not limited to:Participate in Scrum ceremonies with their assigned Project teamsExperiment with applications to ensure features meet specified requirements and deliver a beneficial user experience.Work with software engineers and users to develop/maintain system requirementsDesign, develop, document, and maintain manual test cases and automated test scriptsUnderstand and apply test driven design concepts to test and debug automated solutions or manual test executions developed by self and othersIntegrate testing into the deployment pipelineClearly and precisely articulate test results to application developersCollaborate with software engineers and application users during the product development lifecycle to develop and maintain a library of expected application behaviorsDemonstrate compliance with team best practices and security requirementsCreate presentations and documentation for knowledge-sharingMentor colleagues learning our applications, architecture, and QA processesQualificationsAssociate degree (or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience)Deep understanding of at least one type of software platform: Single-Page Applications; eCommerce; IT Asset Management tools; HCM, ERP, or CRM SaaS systems such as Dynamics 365 or ServiceNowAt least 2 years professional programming experienceExperience testing RESTful APIsIn-depth knowledge of modern Hypertext Markup Language and Cascading Style Sheets (HTML)/(CSS)Familiarity with majority of the following technologies:JavaScript, Angular, Typescript, .NET, SQL, JSON, SwaggerRequired SkillsAbility to create and maintain automated tests using SeleniumStrong problem solving, organizational, and time management skillsStrong analytical skillsAbility to communicate complex subject matter- both verbally and writtenAbility to design, develop, document, and maintain manual test cases and automated tests scriptsAbility to work independently and participate in collaboration with project teams.Ability to multitask while retaining strong attention to detailExperience working with geographically-distributed teamsExperience with REST/OData APIsPreferred Qualifications/Skills:Knowledge of QA fundamentals and Agile Scrum methodologiesExperience with git, Jira, and/or Microsoft Azure Boards, AWS Code Commit, Visual Studio, mabl, Selenium IDE, Jenkins CI/CD, Selenium, Postman, Bootstrap, MS Test FrameworkAdditional InformationThe estimated annual pay range for this position is $45,000 - $75,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
