The Sr. Data Integration Engineer is based in Denver reporting to Director of Data & Analytics. This role is invested in the data warehousing project to further Northwood reporting and analysis for decision management. The Sr. Data Integration Engineer will be involved in a variety of areas inclusive of database management, data modeling, ETL/ELT Development, application workflows and processes, data automation and integration, and opportunity to share the future of data delivery of investment data at Northwood.

The ideal candidate has Data Integration / Data Modeling / Accounting related experience and is looking for the opportunity to get broad exposure and refine their current skill set within an industry leading and dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Integration Development

1. Supports projects with multidisciplinary teams to collect functional business requirements, scoping analytical projects, manage expectations and deadlines, and translate needs into technical specifications.
2. Responsible for new and existing ETL workflow solutions to expedite delivery of new datasets, process automation and analytics, production of complex loads and support of metadata framework methodologies.
3. Maintains documentation best practices for written code/procedures including mapping documents.
4. Coordinates with business to challenge the status quo and establish data governance policies.
5. Develops custom SQL views for data model ingestion and data integration.
6. Works with internal staff and third-party vendors to develop application data integrations.
7. Structures presentation layer data for reporting and analytics of Private Equity data.
8. Supports the development and deployment of business intelligence and data visualization tools.
9. Supports change management around existing data warehouse reports and deliverables based on business feedback.

1. Collaborate with internal departments to aggregate, transform, and interpret data from multiple sources to help integrate data from various systems and future roll-out of custom reports and dashboards.
2. Liaise with internal departments to support data warehouse governance and establish efficient system workflows.
3. Analyze processes and data to identify problem areas and make recommendations for system modifications or other improvements.
4. Assist in supporting project teams to deliver solutions to optimize business efficiencies for Northwood and participate in special project initiatives to support technology needs for the business.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar.
2. At least 4-6 years of experience writing complex SQL and takes initiative in SQL script tuning/performance optimization.
3. At least 2-3 years of experience working with relational data modeling concepts and data warehousing design.
4. At least 2-3 years of experience developing and supporting JavaScript / Python / Snowpark.
5. At least 2-3 years of cloud architecture platforms, specifically AWS microservices and Lambda development.
6. At least 3-4 years of experience using ETL tools such as SSIS, Alteryx, Informatica, DataStage, Pentaho, Matillion, DBT.

1. Experience with building solutions in the financial services domain with an understanding of financial instruments, transactions, and positions.
2. Experience supporting/using property management software such as MRI, Yardi, Investran, or similar ERP systems a plus.
3. Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Insights, iLevel, Anaplan, Spreadsheet Server, and Infineo applications a plus.
4. Experience using Business Intelligence Tools (SSRS, Power BI, OBIEE, Tableau, etc.).
5. Advanced experience using Office 365, specifically Excel (Power Pivot, Power Query) and Power Automate.
