Air2o is seeking a motivated HVAC Production Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. As an HVAC Production Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and executing HVAC systems for renewable energy projects. Working closely with a diverse team of engineers and developers, you will help craft innovative, sustainable solutions that support our clients' goals to transform the energy industry.


Position may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, engineer and implement highly customized HVAC systems for large commercial applications, incorporating cutting-edge technologies and energy-efficient solutions
  • Provide technical support to production teams, ensuring smooth manufacturing of custom HVAC units
  • Develop and refine future HVAC systems, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and performance optimization
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key vendors and suppliers
  • Conduct on-site troubleshooting and problem-solving for complex HVAC installations at external jobsites
  • Conduct detailed analyses and simulations to optimize HVAC performance
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated project delivery
  • Review, prepare, and approve technical documentation, including design specifications and reports
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in HVAC and renewable energy
  • Maintain, update, and communicate project timelines and deliverables with technical and production teams as well as clients


Required Qualifications:

  • ABET-Accredited Engineering Degree
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the field of mechanical systems design
  • 2+ years experience with mechanical HVAC systems
  • Basic knowledge of ASHRAE and AHRI Standards
  • Proficiency in refrigeration selection software + Solidworks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to attend team meetings, onsite inspections/visits, fieldwork, and perform administrative duties
