CMM Programmer/Senior Metrologist

We are seeking a CMM Programmer/Senior Metrologist specializing in Zeiss to join a leading global medical device company renowned for its innovative product development. The CMM Programmer will be responsible for:
- Utilizing advanced GD&T knowledge to program Zeiss CMMs and vision systems for product compliance.
- Enhancing programming skills in Zeiss PCM while providing support for metrology inquiries from operators and engineers.
- Collaborating with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure precise setups and effective programming.
- Assisting in special projects related to tooling and gauges alongside Manufacturing Engineers.
- Driving cost reduction initiatives by applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Identifying efficiency improvements through attribute gauging techniques.
- Maintaining compliance with ISO/FDA guidelines and internal procedures.
The CMM Programmer will have the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 6 years of experience with inspection equipment.
- 4 years of advanced CMM programming experience, specifically with Zeiss systems.
- 4 years of advanced vision system programming experience.
- 5 years of experience with advanced dimensioning, tolerancing, and GD&T principles.
Knowledge and skills of the successful CMM Programmer:
- Mechanical Aptitude: Comprehensive understanding of machining properties of common metals and alloys, with the ability to read blueprints and a general knowledge of drafting concepts.
- Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: Proficiency in Zeiss CMM and vision system programming.
- Reasoning Ability: Strong problem-solving skills to define issues, collect data, and draw valid conclusions, with the ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and navigate both abstract and concrete variables.
