Microsoft Corporation has the following opportunity:Research and test operating systems-level software compilers, and network distribution software. Plan, architect, deploy, or support complex client/server or base software systems. Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements. Establish standards for a design, architecture, and recovery process that results in comprehensive, scalable recovery plans across multiple groups and services. May develop or create an implementation, validation, and rollback plan. Troubleshoot technical barriers and resolve escalations by using standard and custom problem management tools and processes. Collaborate with cross functional teams to design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, computer-based services offered to external customers. Telecommuting permitted less than 50%/week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.Requirements:Education: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Electrical Engineering or related.Experience: 36 months of experience in providing technical software support.Education or Experience in: BACnet; Building Automation Systems (BAS); Electrical Systems; and Mechanical Systems.Experience must include 36 months of experience in each of the following: SCADA/DCS Systems; Modbus; and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (V8360782), in Redmond, WA, is $155,000 to $185,000 per year.Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.?At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
