Job Summary: The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the company’s security platform and related solutions, while conducting network and host threat assessments. This role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and mitigating security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities. The primary responsibilities will include managing Palo Alto Firewalls, Fortigates, and F5 Load Balancers. The Network Security Engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop action plans that address identified vulnerabilities and support security initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Security Manager in enhancing the company’s security posture.
- Administer and maintain all aspects of Palo Alto Firewalls.
- Administer and maintain Fortigate Firewalls, including FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
- Administer and maintain F5 Load Balancers.
- Assist with the configuration and management of security systems and tools.
- Respond to security incidents and document the resolution process.
- Monitor system activity and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Investigate security violations, update and maintain security controls, and ensure proper documentation.
- Provide after-hours monitoring and on-call support as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience managing corporate firewalls (preferably Palo Alto Firewalls), including Panorama and Global Protect VPN configuration.
- Experience managing corporate load balancers, particularly F5 Load Balancers.
- Strong understanding of the OSI model and its relevance in corporate networks.
- Proficiency in Windows, Red Hat Linux, and Oracle Linux operating systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Access, and Visio.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
