Job Description

Trigyn's direct client has a contract assignment for a UI Developer in Chicago, IL.

Description:
The client is looking for a highly motivated UI engineer who is interested in working with web interfaces. In this role, you will lead, design, implement UI components of web applications and also integrate them with back end APIs, working with other engineers to solve business and technology problems at hand. As a UI engineer, you are responsible for building the Analytics Dashboard on the client portal.

Responsibilities:

1. Writes clean solid code, identifies design and coding problems, and brings technology innovation to existing systems if needed.
2. Captures and implements technical requirements, such as test harnesses, logging, and operation facilitations.
3. Defines development and test environments, including build, configuration, and deployment.
4. Supports urgent live-site operations as needed.
5. Facilitates design review, code review, test review, and operation procedure review meetings.
6. Writes scalable code and the unit tests for Continuous Delivery pipeline.

Qualifications:

1. Strong knowledge of Java, JSP, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, AJAX, Handlebar/Backbone/Angular.js/ReactJS, experience with MVC or component-based UI frameworks, Spring MVC.
2. Knowledge of software UI design principles and passion for developing great user experiences.
3. Experience working with A/B or multivariate experimentation.
4. Experience building UI applications with support for multiple browsers and versions.
5. Knowledge of current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, accessibility, and usability.
6. Experience in test automation, diagnostics automation, and performance engineering practices, tools and techniques.
7. Experience creating or integrating web applications with APIs.
8. BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent demonstrable hands-on experience.

12. 5+ years of relevant working experience in building and maintaining high-performance, distributed, and scalable web platforms.
