Our client, a leading foundry in Montgomery County, is looking to add a CNC Operator on first shift for an immediate hire.
Responsibilities:
* Safely & efficiently operate CNC horizontal & vertical machining centers.
* Read & understand drawings/prints required for the assigned job.
* Prepare machine & submit pieces for first article inspection prior to production run.
* Inspect pieces during production using proper measuring devices to ensure a quality product.
* Monitor tool wear & change tooling as required.
* Adjust tooling or machine offsets to maintain proper sizes & tolerances.
* Set-up machine for various jobs using set-up sheets.
* Keep a neat, clean & orderly work area.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
* Able to reliably commute.
* 4-5 years" experience as a CNC operator on horizontal & vertical machining centers.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
* Knowledge of basic machining.
* Mechanical ability.
* Able to read drawings/prints.
* Good communication skills.
* Able to follow verbal & written instructions.
* Ability to work alone & within a team.
* Basic math skills.
* High school diploma.
Experience
* Familiarity with Mazak CNC machines.
* Basic understanding of conversational programming.
* Certificate or diploma with regards to machining or machining technology.
* Has own tools.
* Successfully completed apprenticeship program.
