Sr. Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

1. Lead the development team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications.
2. Manage all the activities of the software development team, and set goals for each team member to ensure timely project delivery.
3. Define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
4. Provide guidance to the team and ensure they adhere to development standards.
5. Strive to continuously improve the operations, processes, methodologies, technology choices, and practices of the team.
6. Collaborate with business stakeholders and developers to gather solution requirements.
7. Manage software development budgets and expenses.
8. Conduct hiring, performance evaluations, and career development discussions.
9. Identify training and skill development needs for the team.
10. Evaluate software solutions and system performance, as well as supervise the software development team.
11. Demonstrate patience and use effective explanations when mentoring junior software developers.
12. Determine system specifications and analyze test stage data prior to software installation.
13. Manage the installation and configuration of software solutions.
14. Resolve software deployment and integration errors, and document processes.
15. Perform routine maintenance and monitor performance metrics.

Required Skills

1. Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information systems, information technology, or equivalent.
2. 8+ years of overall experience in software development.
3. 5-7 years of experience in managing engineering teams.
4. In-depth knowledge of programming languages such as C#, SQL, NodeJS, HTML5, .NET frameworks, and JavaScript.
5. Skilled in relational database design and development using Microsoft SQL Server.
6. Experienced in the design, development, and implementation of Azure services like App Service, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, and Azure data analytics.
7. Ability to mentor software developers, as well as to collaborate with all stakeholders.
8. Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.
9. Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
10. Knowledge of best practices related to data encryption and cybersecurity.
11. Ability to keep up with software industry trends and innovation.
12. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Compensation : $150-$180k base salary
