CNC programmer/operator for the manufacturing of Overhead Cranes and components
Objective:
Machine parts off of shop drawings, provide high quality parts in an efficient manner.
Reports to:
Shop Foreman
Responsibilities

Job Description:
CNC programmer/operator for the manufacturing of Overhead Cranes and components
Objective:
Machine parts off of shop drawings, provide high quality parts in an efficient manner.
Reports to:
Shop Foreman
Responsibilities
- Ability to read and interpret Shop Machining drawings.
- Ability to set up and run CNC Lathes and Mills working off shop drawings.
- Ability to hold tolerances to within .0005" as required.
- Programming on Fagor, Fanuc, Haas and Heindenhain controls using "G" code without the use of programming software. Experience on all controls is not required
- Able to use precision measuring equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, dial bore gauges.
- Consistently produce high quality and accurate parts.
- Show up to work on time every day.
- Able to work safely in a Heavy Industrial environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Possible Temp to hire after 90 day period is up.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training or vocational education in machining or manufacturing is preferred.
- Proven experience in operating CNC lathes and mills, with a focus on setting up and running machinery based on shop drawings.
- Experience in programming CNC controls such as Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain using "G" code (experience on all controls is not required, but familiarity with at least one is preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret shop machining drawings accurately.
- Strong understanding of tolerances and the ability to hold tolerances within .0005".
- Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to consistently producing high-quality and accurate parts.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality; able to show up to work on time every day.
- Ability to work effectively and safely in a heavy industrial environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
- Physically capable of performing manual tasks associated with machining.
