SUMMARY

Agile Defense seeks qualified candidates for support of the Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) capabilities of the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) Nimitz Operational Intelligence Command (OIC). Agile Defense provides IT support services to ONI OIC including tier 1 through 3 on-call support, planning and scheduling, customer/user support, systems engineering and technical assessments, software engineering, system administration and operation, database administration and development, system/software testing, and break-fix support.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design, implement, measure and fabric and host-based technologies for networking.
2. Resolve highly complex technical issues on Oracle Cloud, Postgres, and Exadata On-Prem platforms.
3. Install, configure, and maintain a complex network of Cloud and on-premise systems.
4. Assist with integrating services across Cloud and data center.
5. Contribute to the prioritization of requirements and matching of resources with requirements.
6. Establish baselines and configuration control.
7. Administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of customer databases.
8. Support the production and non-production Oracle and Postgres databases.
9. Analyze and improve system performance.
10. Act as a subject matter expert in the area of database management.
11. Document new or modified infrastructure solutions, test activities/results, and workflows.
12. Perform database design and modeling; as well as, the collection and interpretation of customer requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Certifications

1. IAT Level II Certification, e.g. Security+

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills

1. Database architecture knowledge and administration.
2. Solid hands-on experience with Exadata, Postgres, and Oracle configuration.
3. Able to backup different Database Machine components.
4. Experience with clustering technologies from different vendors.
5. Thorough understanding of the Oracle and Postgres database features.
6. Extensive hands-on interaction with large Database management systems.
7. ZDLRA, Backup and Recovery, RMAN, knowledge of various restore and recovery scenarios.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental Conditions

1. Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages.

Strength Demands

1. Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles.
