Job Description: Lead Backend Developer (CommerceTools & Node.js)

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Backend Developer to join our team and drive the development of our innovative CommerceTools and Node.js (Express) solutions.

Role Overview:

As the Lead Backend Developer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and mentoring a team of developers. You will be responsible for designing and developing scalable e-commerce solutions using CommerceTools and Node.js (Express), and implementing backend services, APIs, and integrations to support business functions and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and support in CommerceTools and Node.js (Express) development. Foster a collaborative and innovative development environment, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
• Solution Design and Development: Design and develop scalable e-commerce solutions utilizing CommerceTools and Node.js (Express). Ensure the solutions meet business requirements and are aligned with industry best practices.
• Backend Services and APIs: Implement and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations to support various business functions and customer requirements. Ensure robust and efficient performance of these services.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in Node.js and the Express framework. Apply a deep understanding of server-side development and RESTful APIs to drive the technical direction of projects.
• Code Quality and Reviews: Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards. Uphold high standards of code quality and maintainability.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in leading development teams and designing scalable e-commerce solutions using CommerceTools and Node.js (Express).
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express framework, with a deep understanding of server-side development and RESTful APIs.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance and constructive feedback to team members.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other e-commerce platforms and technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud services and containerization (e.g., AWS, Docker).
• Knowledge of front-end technologies and integration with backend services.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on CommerceTools and Node.js (Express).
• Extensive experience with CommerceTools, including configuring, customizing, and integrating CommerceTools solutions.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (e.g., React, Vue.js) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Proven experience in leading development teams and managing technical projects.
