The Industry Solutions Engineering (ISE) team is a global engineering organization that works directly with customers looking to leverage the latest technologies to address their toughest challenges. We collaborate with our customers' engineers to jointly develop code for cloud-based solutions that can accelerate their organization. We work in partnership with Microsoft product teams, partners, and open-source communities to empower our customers to do more with the cloud. Our contributions to open source and our focus on making platforms easier to use are key to our mission.

In this role, you will work with engineers from your team and our customers' teams to apply your skills, perspectives, and creativity to grow as engineers and help solve our customers' toughest challenges. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Industry Solutions Engineering with deep experience and expertise in designing and delivering solutions using modern software engineering practices and cloud technologies. You will be working side-by-side with customer engineers to build innovative solutions, solving exciting business problems, contributing to open source, and collaborating with Microsoft product teams.

Responsibilities

1. Understand User Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders on user requirements and feedback for features. Apply various feedback channels to improve designs or solutions. Measure customer value, usage patterns, and other metrics of value.
2. Design: Contribute to product/solution architecture and testing design with technical leadership. Work hands-on with your team and our customers through design and implementation, demonstrating good engineering practices and coding along the way.
3. Coding: Write and debug code for a product feature following coding standards and best practices.
4. Implement: Execute project plans and tests features, learn about deployment, and consider customer impact. Share your work and learnings with your team, Microsoft product teams, and the OSS community.
5. Engineering Excellence: Continuously improve our ability to deliver quality solutions by helping to evolve our engineering process and continuously building your technical knowledge.
