What we’re looking for
A person with a track record of high-quality design and web platform implementations. A deep understanding of the MERN stack. Helpful to have knowledge of RabbitMQ, and Elasticsearch. Someone who can effectively communicate with local and remote workers where English is a second language. Someone who believes that great products begin with a phenomenal company culture and an idea, are developed by careful planning and hard work - and are then brought to market with enthusiasm and pride.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a software development role
- 3+ years of experience with the MERN stack
- Skilled at designing and implementing sophisticated server-side APIs and business logic.
- Experience in the following technologies
- Node.JS
- Typescript
- MongoDB
- Elasticsearch
- Postgres
- RabbitMQ
- Oauth2.0 (OpenID Connect)
- The ability to rapidly consume and understand a large existing codebase.
- Someone who can effectively communicate with peers, customers, and stakeholders.
Other Beneficial skills
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Ansible
- MQTT
- Mosquitto
- Proficiency in stripe, twilio, slack and mailgun APIs
Preferred Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering a related field or equivalent experience.
