Sr. Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer (79387-1)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Generate creative solutions to design problems and demonstrate their viability considering factors such as risk, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, weight, and cost.
2. Transition concepts into products, defining requirements, selecting materials and processes, interacting with suppliers and manufacturers, and documenting the development process.
3. Troubleshoot design failure modes to root cause and develop quick, effective solutions.
4. Coordinate with others in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
5. Evaluate designs through prototype testing and requirement verification.
6. Knowledge in Mechanical, Aerospace and/or Manufacturing Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of design experience.
7. Proficient in CAD Tools, SolidWorks and exposure to Catia V5 (a must).
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, SAP business software.
9. Excellent oral, written, presentation and communication skills.
10. Project management of product from initial design concept to production release.
11. Track and record projects.
12. Assist Engineering Manager with various projects/tasks.
13. Ability to work independently, prioritize, multi-task, and effectively interact with other Engineering disciplines and external contacts.

EXPERIENCE:

1. CATIA V5 experience required - (5) years.
2. 10 years Aerospace Engineering and 5 years supervising experience is preferred.
3. Experience with product development.
4. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and how to optimize designs and be cost-effective.
5. Ability to manage projects effectively.
6. Must have an analytical and process-driven approach, with a high attention to detail.
7. Capability in multi-tasking, including prioritization of work and management/organization of time.
8. Strong drive for results is essential, with self-directed leadership, requiring minimal supervision & being proactive.
