Description & RequirementsCurrently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Expert CNO Systems Engineer to join our team in the Hanover, MD location. Apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Plan, Build, Test, Deploy, Operate, and Monitor.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Member of the leadership team for a 50-person team. Assist in the development and implementation of the technical strategy to modernize the architecture of an operational system.Interface with Government customers to validate technical direction of the programIdentify process improvements across the systems lifecycle using industry best practicesAct as Change Agent and Agile Coach for the teamDefine and integrate tools to automate the software development, maintenance, and delivery of a complex system including Release Planning, CI/CD pipeline, metrics and monitoring, and Configuration ManagementEnsure compliance with chosen processes and tools across multiple Agile teams and assist in their implementation and use.Participate in team meetings, Daily Scrums, and system demosPerform analysis of technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations.Ability to create architectural designs as required.Minimum Qualifications:14 years of system engineering experience OR bachelor’s degree with 10 years of system engineering experience OR a master’s degree plus 8 years of system engineering experience.Minimum 6 years work experience serving in a software development environment supporting multiple development teams.Ability to work with senior technical staff and government team to optimize and improve processes and quality practices.Solid understanding of DevSecOps processes and toolsExcellent Oral and Written Communication SkillsStrong Analytical and Critical Thinking SkillsPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and JiraSystem Engineering Experience in DevSecOps environmentAbility to keep track of and juggle multiple priorities.Ability to take common work issues in stride instead of being easily rattled and proactively address issues as they arise.Ability put out fires while respecting team members, staying level-headed during difficult situations.Ability to be accountable for the team when mistakes happen. Identify the problem and focus the team on learning from the experience.Security Clearance Requirements:Must have an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph.Physical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machineryThe person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentationsRepetitive MotionsThe projected compensation range for this position is $170,700.00-$283,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
