Cyber Security Project Engineer with Security Clearance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. To be eligible for this position you must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
2. 10+ years of relevant experience
3. Experience with incident response, and incident response tools, frameworks and life cycle
4. Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
5. Proficiency in network security principles, protocols, and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, etc.)
6. Proficiency in endpoint security principles and technologies (Antivirus/Anti–malware software, Host–based Intrusion Detection Systems, EDR, etc.)
7. Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) and their security mechanisms
8. Experience using a SIEM for log aggregation, correlation, and analysis
9. Knowledge of malware analysis techniques and tools
10. Demonstrated experience in IT best practices regarding application, enterprise system, and network security
11. Ability to create and maintain documentation to include internal processes, procedures, relevant instructions, policies, and guidance
12. Ability to be on call for incident response
13. Strong technical writing skills
14. Strong analytical and problem–solving skills to investigate and resolve security incidents
15. Strong attention to detail to identify security vulnerabilities and anomalies
16. Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, management, and other stakeholders
17. Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

1. Security Certifications to include CISA, SSCP, CEH, CAP, GCIH, ECIH, CASP+, SEC+
2. Cloud Security Certifications in AWS and Azure
3. Experience with driving cloud security engineering
4. Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.) for automation and scripting tasks
5. Experience with implementing automation mechanisms within a SIEM, CSP, or an enterprise environment
