Senior Project Engineer – Civil

Job Description:

The job includes, but is not limited to:

1. Minimum 15 – 20 years of field experience.
2. Graduate of an excellent University, minimum in Civil Engineering or Equivalent.
3. Very strong leading personality.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Experience in erection of Petrochemical Plant, Gas Compression Plant, Refinery work, Power Station, Power Plants, and Tank erection work.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise construction of large Petrochemical and industrial projects.
2. Run field construction, reporting directly to the Construction Manager / Project Manager and maintaining day-to-day contact with them to identify and resolve any problems.
3. Proper implementation of schedules.
4. Direct and lead Section Engineers, General Foremen, Foremen, and their multinational Indian/ Pakistani/ Filipino crews in the field.
5. Coordinate work amongst various disciplines.
6. Plan, deploy, and utilize plant and equipment efficiently.
7. Ensure that construction crews are supplied with enough information, drawings, sketches, materials, and consumables to meet or improve target dates.
8. Implement safety plan and ensure the highest level of safety to Client’s requirements.
9. Coordinate with the QA/QC Engineer and ensure proper implementation of the QA/QC plan.
10. Ensure efficiency and good productivity of the working crews.
11. Ensure implementation of stores logistics, coordination of project materials, transport, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Ensure implementation of all steps to prepare systems for pre-commissioning and start-up.
2. Implement the contractual scope of work and ensure implementation of the Change Orders system with the Client.
3. Ensure smooth interfacing with other subcontractors and contractors on the job.
