Synergy , a leading Boston commercial real estate firm, is seeking multiple Roving HVAC Technicians, Electricians and Apprentices to perform maintenance and repairs throughout a portfolio of buildings. This individual will be a key member of our maintenance staff performing hands-on work and maintenance duties for a portfolio of urban-based office buildings and provide mechanical expertise to a wide staff of building personnel. This position will be provided with a vehicle to travel between sites and reports directly to the MEP Lead.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Travel throughout the portfolio of buildings to perform maintenance and service on building equipment on specified Synergy buildings throughout Boston.
- Assist stationary building engineers in troubleshooting and repairs of building’s HVAC equipment, scheduling and performing preventive maintenance, and provide recommendations on building and equipment upgrades.
- Perform critical service on buildings HVAC and mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate the overall quality of the work team and demonstrate an understanding of quality standards.
- Foster a collaborative work environment by leading in problem-solving within the team and across functional areas.
- Develop weekly work schedules to ensure time is efficiently and accurately billed out.
- Develop a full understanding of critical building systems and how to operate them.
- Work with team to perform hands-on upgrades to building equipment, equipment replacements, repairs, and emergency service.
- Off hours work at times is required to avoid disruptions to day-to-day tenant operations.
What we’re looking for in you:
- High school graduate or equivalent required; technical training or trade school preferred.
- 3+ years experience in Electrical, HVACR or related field.
- Mass Refrigeration, Electrical or Plumbing License a plus but not required.
- Self-Motivated, hardworking individuals not afraid of a challenge.
- Ability to think beyond routine repairs, focusing on long-term sustainable solutions.

Work Conditions & Essential Physical Characteristics:
- Work to be performed both inside the property and outside with exposure to weather, fumes, electrical current, and machine noise.
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, repetitive use of hands, power hand grasping, and reaching above and below shoulder level.
- Occasional sitting, squatting, crawling, kneeling.
- Ability to operate assigned equipment and machinery. May be required to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally weighing up to 75 pounds.
