Description
We are seeking an Electric Distribution Engineer to join our team in Framingham, MA on a hybrid schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing construction work packages for electric distribution systems and 3rd party make-ready analysis. This will involve using various software systems and construction standards to design overhead systems, underground distribution systems, and analyze existing infrastructure. Additionally, the role will include field work to inspect pole locations and detailed note-taking on existing conditions. The ideal candidate will have an AS degree with 1+ years of experience and background working with a utility performing design work. Knowledge of Pole Loading software and experience in distribution design and reconductoring is required. Prior experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PDS, PLS-CADD, MicroStation, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus. In this role, you can also expect to gain experience in NESC, structural pole modeling, electrical power calculations, GIS design, project management, and financial management.
