Job Overview:
Our client – a growing and impressive manufacturer of building products and materials for the construction, are seeking a skilled Production Engineer is a hands-on position incorporating production process and equipment projects to improve or reimagine production of building material products – and panels. Our client has in its facilities large scale tanks, ovens, production tables, spray heads, raw material handling and distribution equipment and saws many of which are controlled by PLC. There are numerous opportunities to improve and automate parts of their production / manufacturing process. The Production Engineer will design solutions to improve and where possible automate, build equipment , programs PLCs, implement and troubleshoot.
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Proficient in MS Office and SolidWorks along with experience in AutoCAD, Electrical, eCatcher, Allen Bradley-Connected Components Workbench
- Ability to read, understand and create equipment schematics
- Strong background in mechanical engineering principles
- Good Communication and project management skills
- Good judgement and decision-making
- Hands on experience in electrical work, mechanics, pneumatics, fabrication, equipment assembly, troubleshooting and start up preferred.
