Project Engineer

Job Description:
The Project Engineer will be responsible for engineering, planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects within the organization, ensuring they are completed on time within scope and budget. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading all engineering efforts for complex projects on time and on budget
Ensure design compliance with all project requirements
Interact with senior management, other professionals, technicians, and support personnel to coordinate, recommend, and confer regarding technical activities and progress
Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates
Ability to take a design from concept to production
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management, and mechanical, software and systems engineers, to ensure successful project execution
Communicate clearly (written and oral) with senior management, design team, and customers
Provide technical expertise and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
Ensure that designs comply with relevant safety and industry regulations, and military standards
Skills/Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to get a DOD Security Clearance
Ability to self-manage assigned project tasks to meet schedule and resource limitations
Must possess technical analytical thinking and detail-oriented skill set
Must possess technical writing skills
Solid communication skills (both written and oral)
Demonstrated accountability for tasks, project, and overall team success
Demonstrated ability to learn new skills
Proven leadership skills
Strong time management skills
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Desired Qualifications:
Working practical knowledge of AS9100
Knowledge of vapor deposition coating processes
Education/Experience Requirements:
Master's degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5+ years of experience
Mastery of technologies and domain knowledge
Expected to have knowledge and experience in multiple engineering disciplines
Proven experience in having led a team of engineers to complete complex projects
