About The Role

This role leads a team of engineers that build and maintain Workday’s Canada Payroll solutions focusing on performance, scalability, and compliance. You will facilitate collaboration with other product and platform teams to develop new technology and capabilities to support new requirements and scalability challenges.

About You

In this leadership role, you will drive highly technical initiatives and empower your team members to innovate and continuously deliver new products, existing product enhancements, and compliance changes. This team will potentially support initiatives around new tools/technology adoption to develop and support future-looking capabilities that give North America (specifically Canada) Payroll products a competitive advantage. An ideal candidate for this role will be a hands-on technical leader.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of OO software design and development experience
  • 3+ years building and managing high-performing engineering teams as well as hiring top-class engineers
  • BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Other Qualifications:

  • Capable of being a hands-on software development leader
  • Deep understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Excited to support team members' career growth and development
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ensures a psychologically safe environment for team members
  • Experience in Payroll application development is a plus
  • Excited to innovate and explore modern technologies to build new and exciting features/capabilities

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.

Primary Location: USA.GA.Atlanta

Primary Location Base Pay Range: $148,000 USD - $222,000 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $140,600 USD - $264,000 USD
