BPR Consulting Group ( ) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our growing company in the Roseville, CA area.

About the Position:

This entry-level position involves:

• Reviewing engineering drawings and calculations for code compliance prior to permit issuance.
• Performing independent analysis, as necessary, to verify the adequacy of designs provided.
• Writing comments and notes where deficiencies are observed.
• Engaging in continuous learning about building code requirements.

Plan checking training will be provided to ensure you have the skills needed for this role.

• Assist in reviewing engineering plans and calculations for compliance with building codes.
• Conduct independent analyses to verify design adequacy.
• Document and communicate any observed deficiencies in engineering plans.
• Participate in ongoing learning to stay current with building code changes and best practices.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
• Perform all work consistent with BPR’s and Clients policies and procedures.
• Provide all services in an efficient, proactive, and client-focused manner.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering.
• Completion of coursework in Timber Design, in addition to core civil engineering courses such as Concrete Design and Steel Design.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior work experience or internships in plan checking or design is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated passion for ongoing learning and development in the engineering profession.

Certification Requirements:

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate is required.

Compensation:

BPR Consulting Group offers competitive wages and has strong benefit offerings. Salary range $65,000-$75,000 based on experience and qualifications.
