As an IT Support Engineer you will be identifying, diagnosing and rectifying any issues in computer hardware, software, services, and applications as well as resolving tickets. This will help us excel at ensuring we are always progressing and taking care of application and technical support to users to stay ahead of the game.

What you’ll be doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to technical support calls from end users of computers and software applications
  • Setting up and installing new computers, networks and software
  • Setting up user accounts and profiles on the network
  • Installing updates, known as patches, to software applications
  • Installing and configuring operating systems, anti-virus software and other applications such as Microsoft Office
  • Diagnosing and fixing network problems and hardware or software faults
  • Maintaining inventories of hardware and software
  • Managing backups of servers, in case of data loss
  • Keeping a record of issues and faults along with solutions, for future reference
  • Logging and processing support calls
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
  • Setting up accounts for staff, ensuring that they know how to log in
  • Solving password and connectivity problems
  • Talking to clients and computer users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter
  • Responding to breakdowns
  • Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults
  • Repairing equipment and replacing parts
  • Supervising junior engineering and technical staff
  • Obtaining replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings
  • Checking computer equipment for electrical safety
  • Maintaining records of software licenses
  • Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies
  • Dealing with and managing vendor and supplier relationships

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Microsoft Azure and Office 365
  • Good understanding of Networking and Network Principles
  • At least 5 years of work experience in Information Technology
  • Physical Demands: while performing the duties of this job, the employee should be able to:
    • Regularly talk and hear.
    • Sit for long periods and reach with hands and arms.
    • Lift up to 25 pounds, stand, and walk.

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:

  • Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry advantageous.
