Senior Software Engineer, Python – Front-office Trading Applications

Our client is a prestigious, global investment firm that has been a leader in the industry for 20+ years. With a HQ in Greenwich, Connecticut, this firm has over 500 employees and manages more than $150B AUM for various institutional investors. They are seeking a seasoned software engineer to join their special investments group where you will be building various applications within the Python ecosystem.

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer / Quantitative Research Developer

Location: Office in Greenwich, CT (50min commute from Grand Central). This is a hybrid role, with an onsite requirement 3x per week.

Required Technology and Skills:

1. 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with expertise in Python
2. Strong understanding of Python ecosystem such as Pandas, NumPy, StreamLit, etc.
3. Experience and understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-based application development
4. Expertise in big data applications
5. Great communication skills and ability to gather and implement requirements
6. Great work ethic and ability to work autonomously without need for micro-management
7. Experience working in financial services / trading applications / Front-office applications

Additional Skills:

1. Degree in IT, Computer Science or STEM related field
2. Experience supporting financial/trading and/or mission-critical applications

Salary Range: 170,000 – 200,000 base salary, plus $35,000 – $50,000 annual cash bonus (Total cash compensation $200,000 – $250,000). Compensation will be based on experience, level, and skills.
