A prominent EPC contractor focused on utility and industrial infrastructure is seeking a Site Engineer with expertise in substation projects. The candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience and will play a key role in supporting construction teams for a large 500kV HVDC substation project. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, and resolving construction-related issues. The role requires effective collaboration with stakeholders and maintaining accurate project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical expert on-site, guiding construction crews and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Address construction challenges independently or as part of the team.
- Identify risks and implement measures to prevent delays and safety hazards.
- Manage submittals and requests for information (RFIs).
- Maintain project documentation and support local approval processes.
- Report on open issues to management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in high voltage substation construction.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and installations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred but not required.
