The Engineering Graduate Program (EGP) at Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) is a global 12-month program where you are offered the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and diverse training modules. You will get the chance to use your technical and creative engineering skills while gaining valuable experience working with real products on real business topics.

The Volvo Group North America Engineering Graduate Program (EGP) does not offer current or future sponsorship. Individuals with temporary visas or who require sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for the program.

Who are you?

• Experience with relevant technical tools, SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebook, Power BI, Apache Iceberg, Streamlit, Grafana, and Apache Spark.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, or anomaly detection including but not limited to: K-means, Random Forest, Gradient boosting (XGBoost).

• 1 year of exposure to data science projects with experience in problem definition, data preparation, modeling, and solution implementation.

Minimum Education Requirements and Experience:

  • Master of Science in Data Science
  • You have either just graduated or graduated within the past two years.
  • Experience with analyzing powertrain and engine from heavy-duty powertrain.

• Self-motivated driven personality
• Detail-oriented and organized professional.

• All steps of an analytics assignment, from data & business value exploration, data structuring, modeling, problem solving & recommendation. You will be able to deliver all steps independently, but also work closely in projects together with colleagues in Europe, India & Brazil.
• You will develop & implement methodologies to assist project leaders in making forecasts & predictions on quality or uptime performance of systems, components, and vehicle models.
• You will contribute with technical insight to the strategy & roadmap for the analytics area.
• Networking, relationship building, and collaborating with our user groups and stakeholders, to assure we are on top of their challenges and are solving the most needed requirements first, as well as holding the longtime promises to assure a stable evolution of the Analytics area over time.
• Working to automate data quality tasks and provide analysis of the data pipeline.
