You will be the Software Engineering Manager responsible for leading an F-16 MMC OFP Software Development team.


What You Will Be Doing

As the Software Engineer Manager you will oversee the development of Mission Software tasks, to include all phases of the System Software lifecycle: initial System Design concepts, software requirements development, design, implementation, integration, and test.

You will contribute to the completion of major milestones associated with specific programs/projects to achieve results.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Coordinating subordinate employee work assignments, performance assessment, salary, recruitment, selection and training, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
  2. Workforce planning, development, and retention.
  3. Personnel performance, compensation and promotion planning.
  4. Oversight of cost, technical, schedule across contracts.
  5. Input and oversight for new contract proposals.
  6. Understanding team performance and motivating quality improvement across contracted efforts.
  7. Interfacing with external teams to meet commitments.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Experience leading a team of engineers.
  2. Experience with/understanding of Agile software methodology.
  3. Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other STEM related discipline.
  4. Must be a US citizen.

Desired Skills:

  1. Prior leadership experience.
  2. Experience with Atlassian tools.
  3. Understanding of earned value management.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
