CNC Lathe Programmer
We are partnering with a manufacturing organization who specializes in complex milling and turning, providing precision quality machining for short or long run production, or for creating prototypes. The CNC Lathe Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality, tight-tolerance parts.

Background Requirements (If you don't have all the requirements, don't worry! It is not necessary to have every single bullet point in your experience)
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC programming or machining preferred but not required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC lathe programming & set-up. It is critical that this individual can program with minimal supervision/outside input
- Ability to work with tight tolerances (hold tolerances as tight as .0001 -.0002 within complex geometries) and perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments
- Strong knowledge of machining principles, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Proficiency in multi-axis CNC lathes with live tooling.
- Strong knowledge of Mastercam software, G-Code and M-Code programming.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of AS9100 quality system
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify CNC programs for lathe operations using G-code with MasterCam without supervision.
- Set up lathes for production runs, including selecting tools and fixtures, and adjusting machine settings.
- Operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications, including custom fixture designed where necessary, and tolerances as tight as .0002 with complex geometries/features.
- Conduct regular inspections of workpieces using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, comparators, molds, gauges) to ensure quality standards are met.
- Identify and resolve programming, tooling, and machine operation issues.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine maintenance, and tooling changes.
