Sr Electrical Engineer

JCO is currently on the lookout for a Senior Electrical Engineer for one of our top clients! This dynamic company is one of the top Electrical Contractors in the construction industry and they are looking for experienced individuals to join their team. The Duties will include:

1. Conducting short circuit studies, over current protection device coordination studies, load flow studies, Arc Flash mitigation studies, grounding/ground grid studies, and underground thermal studies.
2. Supervise process coordination between architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and all electrical trades.
3. Supervise or conduct distribution analysis, including voltage drop and underground heat effect (Neher-McGrath) calculations.
4. Oversee the preparation of designs, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
5. Prepare power system single-line diagrams, including feeder, over current protection sizing, and equipment elevations.
6. May be the Engineer of Record for projects as assigned.

The Ideal Person will have:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in a relatable field.
2. Licensure as a US-based Professional Engineer is required.
3. Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering subjects, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, energy conservation, value engineering, and applicable codes and standards is required to design state-of-the-art constructible projects.
4. Proficient in Autodesk, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), Illumination software, and Oracle software pertaining to Engineering Productivity and CAC generation.
