Entry Level CAD Designer

We're Hiring: Entry-Level CATIA V5 Designer
We are seeking an Entry-Level CATIA V5 Designer to join our team in Warren, MI . In this role, you will support our engineers in the design and development of automotive components, ensuring designs meet both customer and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design automotive components and systems using CATIA V5 to optimize customer value and vehicle function.
• Develop and modify designs to meet specified performance and functionality.
• Communicate design changes with customers and prepare vendor design packages, including drawings and sketches.
• Maintain accurate logs of all design requests and release data to customer's PDM or mailbox.
• Assist in preparing data for approved suppliers and managing file structures for design and incoming data.
• Review designs with program managers and maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer design requirements.

Requirements:

• Experience with exterior fascia (plastic) design is a must. Interior plastics experience may also be considered.
• Preferred, but not required: Teamcenter experience.
• Experience with Ford, optical/lighting design is a plus.
• Will consider recent graduates with an Associate's Degree in CAD Drafting/Design, especially from Henry Ford Community College, Macomb, Oakland, or Schoolcraft Community College.
• Candidates with a basic understanding of manufacturing or a related class are preferred.
• Expertise in CATIA or UGNX in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GD&T, Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly, and solid modeling is required.

Education & Experience:

• An Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Relevant CAD experience is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates.

Position Details:

• Location: Warren or Allen Park, MI
• Duration: 6-month contract to direct hire
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM (with potential overtime up to 10 hours/week)
• Pay: $20 - $25 per hour (higher pay for candidates with some design experience)

Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
