The Leidos National Security Sector is currently seeking a Lead Web Developer to oversee a team of web developers, application developers, designers, and task leaders. The team will be responsible for designing and developing a new intelligence discovery website to replace the existing legacy system. In this role, you will lead the development of an enterprise-wide platform for aggregating, searching, and disseminating intelligence information across multiple government networks. This is a critical role that requires leadership and hands-on involvement in various stages of the project, including research, development, deployment, and achieving government authority to operate (ATO) for the platform. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of web developers, application developers, designers, and task leaders
- Collaborate with government leads and stakeholders to define project requirements, goals, and timelines
- Ensure compatibility of developed capabilities with the network operating environment and architecture
- Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies
- Employ back-end technologies to develop a secure and efficient architecture
- Implement best practices for software development, including Agile methodologies, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
- Monitor project progress, address technical challenges, and provide regular updates to government and contract program managers
Requirements:
- Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph
- BS in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or related field with 10+ years of software development experience
- Experience with front-end and back-end technologies/frameworks
- Experience overseeing web site development and presenting overview briefings and updates to government leads, partners, and customers
- Experience in identifying and mitigating project-related risks
Preferred:
- Experience managing a software development team through a government ATO process
- Experience developing unclassified software for configuration in a classified environment
