About the Role

What You Will Do
- Design Innovation: Collaborate with a team of experts to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative mechanical systems for cutting-edge battery manufacturing facilities.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize your extensive design experience in developing detailed and accurate system designs. Perform QAQC review of project interim deliverable packages (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC) and ensure adherence to design standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Code Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including ASME, NFPA, and ASHRAE.
- Sustainability Integration: Integrate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient practices into your work.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including electrical, process, and controls engineers.
What You Need
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - Master is a PLUS
- 8+ years of experience in design of mechanical systems for industrial facilities utility infrastructure
- Extensive working experience in large-scale, high-volume and high-tech manufacturing facilities
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems design, dry systems (HVAC, CR/DR mechanical systems) and/or wet systems (process distribution piping, air compressors and dryers, vacuum systems, pumps, heat exchangers)
- Working knowledge of applicable design guides and standards related to utility systems
- Experience in system modeling using Pipe Flo or other simulation software is a plus
- Experience with CFD analysis is a plus
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for learning quickly
