Job Title: Azure & M365 Engineer

Length/Contract Type: 6-Month Contract to Hire

Hourly/Salary Pay Rate Range: $69.71/HR - $74.51/HR and $145,000 - $155,000

Required Certification: CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification

Hours of Operation/Location: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm 100% onsite in Chantilly, Virginia

Daily Responsibilities:

1. Plan and direct Azure/M365 infrastructure and related components, services, and applications.
2. Analyze requirements and system architectures to refine system requirements, specifications, and resulting design plans.
3. Administer, operate, manage, and maintain components for on-premises and cloud-based environments and systems.
4. Engineer geographically dispersed services, integrating services into public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
5. Engineer solutions to be deployed via automated CM tools, and harden the solutions to address security, compliance, and regulatory initiatives.
6. Review completion and implementation of system configurations and/or enhancements and make recommendations to management and/or clients.
7. Design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems utilizing both on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid hosting technologies and solutions.
8. Support solutions throughout the entire IT project lifecycle, including refining requirements, creating design documentation, creating installation instructions, deployment plans, and providing O&M support.

Required Skills:

1. Expertise in both Azure and M365.
2. Experience with Windows DNS and DHCP.
3. Experience with Windows Server 2019 and 2022.
4. Experience with Group Policy Objects and Management.
5. CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification.
6. Experience managing Azure/M365 using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
7. Experience with Active Directory design, topology, and implementation best practices.
8. Experience with Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
9. Strong understanding and experience with designing, engineering, administering, and operating.
10. Experience with Microsoft Windows automation scripting with PowerShell or other scripting languages.
11. Strong understanding or direct experience with onboarding and operating within Azure and M365 environments.
12. System configuration based on security guidelines such as DISA STIGs, CIS, or Azure Security Benchmarks.
13. Experience managing and implementing Azure Policy for resource governance and compliance management.
14. Architectural understanding of M365 security constructs and data protections such as Purview, DLP, RMS/IRM, Azure Information Protection.
15. Experience with File and Storage Services including: Distributed File System (DFS), Namespace, Target, and Replication management.
16. Develop solutions integrating Microsoft Azure commercial clouds (public and government community) with services hosted on-premises and in other clouds.
17. Understanding of Hybrid Identities, Azure Active Directory Connector (AADC)/Entra Connect, and/or other Identity Management or synchronization technologies like Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), Okta, etc.
18. Azure Active Directory/Entra ID based identity and access management solutions and authentication services and Single Sign On (SSO) solutions such as ADFS, Ping Federate, Okta, or other SAML or OAuth technologies/solutions.
