As a network engineer on our team, you’ll use your skills in cryptographic devices, network analysis, and testing to help support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You’ll develop test plans and reports and execute test procedures to increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.

Your knowledge of network engineering and system administration will come in handy as you help optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in cryptography, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you’ll make an impact on national security missions.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience executing test scenarios and working with test plans
  • 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining Test Reports, Test Procedures, Test Plans, and training documents
  • 2+ years of experience with configuration of cryptographic products, including HAIPE, LEF, and STE
  • 1+ years of experience with Network Analysis techniques, including Wireshark and tcpdump
  • 1+ years of experience with Host Operating Systems, including Windows and Linux
  • Ability to analyze and communicate complex technical challenges to both technical and non-technical clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, CS, Mathematics, or Physics and 2+ years of experience working with networking and routing solutions and configuring switches and routers, or 7+ years of experience working with networking and routing solutions and configuring switches and routers in lieu of a degree
  • Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ or Network+ Certification within 90 days of start date

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience performing engineering activities for a DoD program
  • Experience with cryptography
  • Experience with HAIPE solutions
  • Experience analyzing cybersecurity policy and compliance
  • Knowledge of planning and executing systems engineering technical reviews and milestones
  • Knowledge of development of systems engineering artifacts and developing requirements that trace to customer-desired capabilities
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in an Engineering field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD).
