Overview
LMI seeks an experienced RF E ngineer to support a DoD client. The ideal candidate will be an electrical engineer with understanding RFID, sensors, internet of things (IOT), Bluetooth, and similar technologies along with experience deploying these technologies and related infrastructure to various operational environments. Candidates should be based in the mid-Atlantic region, preferably within driving distance of the Washington DC area.

- Develop and deploy wireless data collection and communications solutions tailored to unique operational needs.
- Recommend and implement hardware, infrastructure, and installation configurations based on facility features and constraints.
- Develop and analyze communications protocol requirements given dynamic bandwidth, latency, frequency, proximity, and payload requirements.
- Support development of new wireless communications protocols to enhance logistics processes.
- Analyze and troubleshoot systems and components, including identifying and mitigating sources of interference and noise.
- Use RF engineering tools and techniques to optimize system performance.
- Provide engineering support, optimization recommendations, and troubleshooting for fielded products and infrastructure.
- Develop and implement test and qualification procedures for wireless communication and data collection systems.
- Ability to travel between 25-50%
Target salary range: $100,300 - $176,358. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.

- Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Understands IOT, RFID, and network engineering.
- Understands deployment considerations and facilities nuances.
- Knowledge of RF hardware systems and testing equipment.
- Professional and detail-oriented work ethic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
- Eligible for DOD Secret clearance.
