A recognized financial services company is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Python Developer.
About the Opportunity:
The Volcker Project is focused on regulatory reporting, with a strong emphasis on liquidity. Specifically - all Banks / Financial Institutions must establish compliance programs to ensure adherence to the rule and are required to report their trading activities to regulators. The project is managed by the Executive Director - Finance Change Management, within the AD Controllership and they are responsible for compiling and validating quarterly reports sourced from various regions, including AD, Tokyo, Nikko, and EMEA.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts to analyze data points and identify anomalies within regulatory reports.
  • Collaborate with the team to massage data and compose it into the system for quarterly liquidity reporting.
  • Perform validations and checks to ensure compliance with existing data rules and regulations.
  • Generate reports for upstream submission to the Tokyo office and ensure proper filing in the paper system.
  • Support integration efforts with SharePoint, Kubernetes, and Azure.
  • Deploy and verify data quality checks using Collibra Data Quality tools on Azure.
  • Assist with any additional integrations or developments, particularly with SpringBoard as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial sector, specifically in a regulatory reporting context.
  • Proficient in Python coding and development.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Kubernetes, and Azure.
  • Experience with integration processes and deploying data quality solutions.
  • Knowledge of REST API's and Collibra Data Quality is a plus.
