Project and Applications Engineer

Location: Santa Monica, CA

Role:

1. Collaborate with the commercial team to evaluate and develop technical propositions and generate solutions that increase design performance and reliability.
2. Investigate the interconnection, including modifications to existing design concepts applicable to each site.
3. Work with switchgear manufacturers to develop innovative designs and costing that are scalable to many jobs and customer sites, including varying voltage levels.
4. Manage engineering consultants in the preparation of detailed engineering and construction drawings and specifications.

Requirements:

1. Expertise in designing and constructing renewable energy projects, particularly Solar and Battery Storage systems.
2. Knowledge of Distributed Energy Resources and their integration within a Microgrid to enhance efficiency.
3. Familiarity with emission standards from both utility operations and DERs.
4. Understanding of control systems for DERs and how they can be leveraged to achieve specific operational goals, providing economic benefits to both the company and clients.
5. Experience in submitting interconnection applications and analyzing utility reports, including Detailed, Facility, and System Impact Studies.
6. Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure project success.
