About this job

Responsibilities:

• Analyse client requirements and work on enhancement based on the requirements by doing impact analysis.
• Work on application development such as design, code, test, and debug with mainframe skills such as COBOL, DB2, IMS, JCL, Zeke, File Aid, Changeman, and AbendAid.
• Develop code and migrate changes to the production environment and during postproduction.
• Execute various forms of testing – unit, system, regression, integration, and performance.
• Create and manage databases, tables, indexes, views, triggers, sequences, and other DB2 objects.
• Perform online reorg, runstats, modify recovery, image copy, recovery, check utilities & DSN1COPY utilities.
• Work on loading and unloading tables and providing access to DB2 objects as per request.
• Monitor batch jobs and optimize database performance.
• Apply security measures to protect the database from unauthorized access.
• Provide technical support to users and developers.

Academic Qualifications:

• This position requires, at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
