Identifies, suggests and implements best practices to facilitate best solutions and methods that will optimize processes in all areas of the business.This role in summaryAs an Sr. Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and driving change through the implementation of the World Class Manufacturing tools to solve problems and make improvements throughout the Tulsa manufacturing plant. Lead all activities associated with labor utilization for operational areas assigned. Using strong data analysis, this position will own costing and projects regarding continuous improvement, as well as, the efficient use of the plant's human resources.Your responsibilities will includeMaintain labor router/standards for profit planning process and day-to-day activities.Be active in ergonomic studies and lean activities to determine safety and cost reduction opportunities.Lead cost studies to determine best product flow in the plant and product featuresCollaborate with cross functional teams to provide insight into how to minimize labor requirements and determine assembly sequence.Strong data analytical skillsProvide ways/methods to eliminate all types of waste in the production processEnsure new models/parts efficiently integrate into operationsOwn all line balances and labor utilization for operational areas assignedDrive continuous improvement through detailed analyticsSupport WCM implementation by providing leadership to continuous improvement groupDrive operations to achieving short/long term labor productivity targetsLead and manage multiple Kaizens of various complexity with minimal oversight.Minimum requirements4+ years of industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering experienceBS in Engineering or related discipline2+ years of experience in Project ManagementComprehensive knowledge of the use of advanced manufacturing techniquesPreferred skills and experiencesIndustrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical engineering degreeWell-developed communications, conflict management, coaching, interpersonal and team building skillsStrong background in World Class Manufacturing (WCM).Strong knowledge of MODAPTS, Proplanner tools, AutocadCertifications in areas of Agile, Six Sigma, Project ManagementProven success driving lean principles and philosophies.Proven ability to improve operations within established production systems.Proven ability to drive initiatives to support change in the plant.Additional informationWhirlpool’s Ways of WorkingOur goal is to provide an environment that helps you bring your best to Whirlpool every day.
